POSITION SUMMARY:

 Translate the business vision, strategy and goals into an actionable plan for 
people, processes, governance, information and technology to support the 
creation of new and improved capabilities for the business in the future.  
Ensure that the SAP solutions strategy is aligned with the business strategy 
and the Global Information Systems (GIS) strategy.  Drive collaboration with 
the process and technical teams toward commonly agreed-to standards and 
expectations.  Provide insight to the business (in partnership with Business 
Relationship Managers) on emerging technologies and trends that warrant 
consideration into the business strategy.  Provide process governance, guidance 
and evolve the maturity of the GIS Processes Framework.  Educate and mentor 
technical staff in the areas of SAP standards, best practices, emerging 
technologies and business trends.  Responsible for maintaining centralized 
documentation of agreed to standards, core architectural blueprints, design 
patterns and policies.  Identify opportunities and deliver capabilities that 
allow for repeatability and reuse within the design, development and support of 
software-based solutions.  Perform in a project management role, when 
necessary, to ensure the timely completion within budget for selected 
enterprise SAP efforts. Oversee the negotiation of vendor relationships for SAP 
related applications as well as the direct management of vendor resources on 
SAP projects where applicable. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*       Establish and maintain a professional and constructive rapport with 
Client’s executives, business partners, and colleagues.  Must be capable of 
communicating technical issues, options and design alternatives within the 
context of business fundamentals, processes and options.  Must be able to 
“translate” technical jargon into business language and “interpret” business 
challenges, requests and questions into technical actions.  
*       Act as a primary point of contact for the SAP enterprise roadmap, 
strategy, architecture and governance. 
*       Responsible for the efficacy of models, process designs, strategic and 
technology roadmaps, and emerging technology and business trends.  Support and 
maintain the Corporate Enterprise Model. 
*       Develop and maintain guidelines, principles, policies, standards, 
reference models and best practices for all matters related to SAP Architecture.
*       Leverages technical expertise, tools and intellectual property across 
the global enterprise to enable reuse, reduce costs and increase the quality of 
solutions provided to the business.  Be a proponent of LEAN, Agile Development 
and Service Oriented and Event Driven Architectures.
*       Ensure that designed solutions, services and processes follow corporate 
standards, guidelines and industry best practices.
*       Responsible for the planning, estimating, tracking and management of 
medium to large and complex projects undertaken by the Enterprise Architecture 
team.  Provides architectural advice and design consulting during a project’s 
lifecycle.

 

 Qualifications:

·         Undergraduate Or Graduate Degree In Computer 
Science/Information/Technology/Business Information Systems Is Preferred. 

·         Minimum of eight years of successful SAP implementation experience in 
the CPG industry or across multiple industries preferred.  Experience must 
include hands-on SAP technical and business systems design experience with 
strength in analysis, design and architecture.  Managerial and/or business 
management experience a plus. 

·         Deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality provided by 
SAP systems, modules, environments, technical platforms, architectural 
patterns, data center infrastructure components and network infrastructures.  
Familiarity with industry best practices (ex: ITIL), standards (ex: ISO 9000) 
and frameworks (ex: TOGAF) will be considered. 

·         Demonstrable expertise in design, development and implementation of 
at least 4 of the following SAP modules and/or technologies: FICO, SRM, SD, 
SCM, APO,  BI, MM, CRM, Enterprise Portal, Netweaver, MDM, XI, Solution 
Manager, SAP J2EE, Development Toolkit (ABAP, BAPI’s, BADI’s, User Exits, 
Output Management Tools).  Java and .Net application development knowledge and 
their interoperability with SAP products preferred. 

·         A good understanding of the SAP Quick Sizer process to ensure SAP 
Systems are sized in accordance with the business requirements. Demonstrable 
experience in project management, planning and estimation.  Familiarity with 
financial and investment measures and metrics. 

·         Good interpersonal skills.  Strong verbal and written communication 
skills are a must. 

·         Due to the globalization of business solutions the candidate must be 
able and willing to travel.  This may include international travel.
