I need a Sr. Oracle OBIEE developer/admin Client: The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. Duration – 6+ months Will do phone or Skype for out of town candidates. H1B *D**escription:* *The University of Minnesota's Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a Senior OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) consultant. The position is for 40 hours per week and is located on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.* *Job - Background* The OBIEE Admin/Developer is responsible for administering the University of Minnesota OBIEE implementation and developing in OBIEE. These requirements of the position include but are not limited to: repository development; BI Publisher report development; migrations and merges of repositories and web catalog; expertise in OBIEE upgrades and security configurations; performance tuning; and expertise in dimensional modeling and design. This position may include designing, testing, implementing and documenting extract programs and database objects consistent with business specifications, complying with standards and customer requirements. *Essential Job Duties: * *OBIEE Admin and Support* Provide best practices expertise for the administration of the University of Minnesota OBIEE implementation and developing in OBIEE. Complete migrations and merges of repositories and web catalogs. Leading OBIEE upgrades and security configurations. Manage performance tuning in OBIEE and the reports. Participate in the analysis, design, and development of new dimensional models and enhancements to current models. *OBIEE Development* Participate throughout project life cycles, from planning to production implementation, including the creation of functional designs, technical designs and test plans for repository models and hierarchies. Document repository structures and provide metadata for business owners, end users and IT staff. Test and reconcile designs to source systems and business specifications. This includes understanding business processes and translating them into requirements. *Additional Duties – Knowledge transfer and Training.* Participate and consult in the development of University staff to ensure they have an appropriate level of professional skills, abilities and knowledge. Lead projects and serve on project teams for development of data, repository and reporting solutions. Cross training of team members. *Essential Qualifications:* *1.* *BA or BS degree* *2.* *Education and BI experience to **total 8 years.* 3. At least 5 years of experience designing and developing BI tool repositories and content 4. Strong analytical and organizational skills. *5.** Extensive knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)* *6.** Dimensional data modeling experience* *7.** Experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments* *8.** Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence reporting tool* 9. Strong writing and verbal skills. *Preferred Qualifications:* 10. Advanced degree in related field 11. Five years of experience in database design and development. 12. Ability to work well with others having a wide variety of computer skills. 13. Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio 14. Experience leading large projects. 15. Experience with project management and best practices as well as a project management tool such as Microsoft Project.
