Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 12+ months Rate: Open Position Description: A Performance Test Developer resource is needed to write load testing test scripts utilizing HP LoadRunner 11.0 This position is responsible for establishing an automated test competency in the team including: developing and maintaining performance test scripts for core modules and integrating the use of automated test tools into the development and testing process by writing, executing, and maintaining test and driver scripts. Responsibilities: . Creates and maintains LoadRunner scripts and scenarios. . Document and perform load testing process steps: planning the test, creating vusers, creating and running the scenario, monitoring the test scenario, analyzing and documenting the test results, identifying bottlenecks, and providing performance tuning recommendations. . Works with business analysts, developers, and end-users to understand the system functional design and requirements in order to formulate test plans and test cases. Assists with the identification, creation and maintenance of performance test data required to drive workloads. Focuses on reducing the time needed to run load tests and analyze their results. . Thoroughly documents the steps necessary to accomplish the execution of the performance testing, problem resolution, data collection and analysis. . Responsible for creating performance test plans, and performance test reports. Makes contingency decisions during the test execution for retest and modification of test scenarios. . Gathers business volumetrics and assembles workload and transaction information for performance testing . Designs the performance test scenarios that meet the objectives identified in the performance test plans. . Defines the test execution and plans for modifying the test scripts and/or scenarios. Skills Needed: . BS/BA in a technical field . 5+ years of experience Extensive experience in Web based and Client/Server applications testing and expertise in creating automation environment using LoadRunner 8.1 or above. . 5+ years of experience LoadRunner components: Virtual User Generator (VuGen), Controller, and the Agent process, LoadRunner Analysis and Monitoring, LoadRunner Books Online. . Experience with load testing, stress testing, spike testing, data volume testing and endurance testing. . Firm understanding of performance test methodology, the SDLC, test environment/ test data management. . Demonstrable success eliciting functional and non-functional requirements. . Proven ability to work under pressure and to effectively multitask.
