Location: Harrisburg, PA Duration: 6+ months Rate: Open Primary responsibilities will include . Assist primary VMWare Administrator with the support of our existing VMWare ESXi 5.1 environment including day-to-day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Windows Servers . Provide operating system support of over 450 Virtual / Physical servers . Provide support of HP hardware including firmware upgrades, diagnosis of hardware problems, and server installation . Recommend best practices and improvements to our existing environment . Develop standards and documentation of current and new processes . Must be available onsite during normal business hours when our primary VMWare Administrator is scheduled to be out of the office. . Evening and weekend work may be required to perform system maintenance or upgrades Skills Needed: Exp in VMWare ESX server environment within the last 2 years in an ESXi 5.x including deployment of advanced virtualization environment in a high-availability and geographically distributed enterprise using ESXi clusters and HA. FT, DRS. Required 5 Years Experience in a an organization with at least 250 servers Required Experience supporting a Microsoft Active Directory 2003 / 2008 R2 environment including DNS, DHCP, WINS Required 7 Years Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012 servers Required 7 Years Strong documentation skills Required Experience in configuration and deployment of Cisco UCS servers Highly desired Experience with Design and implementation HP BL-class blade servers and virtual connect technologies Highly desired Experience in configuration and deployment of VMWare View virtual desktop systems Highly desired VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or other relevant certifications Highly desired Experience with Hyper-V Virtualization.
