*Kindly send us updated resume to : [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Position : TeraData Consultant* *Location : Columbus, OH* *Duration : Long Term* *Must Local to OH or who can able to attend inperson interview with own expenses at OH only.* *Description : * Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's Teradata environment Consults with and provides guidance to Teradata users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions. Performs moderately complex activities across the Teradata environment including one or more of the following: Business requirement identification and analysis; manage, tune & optimize workload management data modeling and/or mapping; Moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; Support application teams related to database application development Monitor database and periodic performance tuning; Taking necessary action to avail the Database resource like spool space efficiently and ensure the Database High availability for Business, Report and Batch Jobs; Good knowledge on Viewpoint monitoring and system health checks; Experience with Teradata Tools and Utilities, Viewpoint and BAR (netbackup); Performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; Planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; implementing security controls; On- call production support on a rotation basis; follow proper hand-over process between on-shore and off-shore team. *Basic Qualifications :* 5 + years database design and administration experience. *Minimum Qualifications : * 5+ years experience of Teradata administration experience or 2+ years of Teradata administration experience and 4+ years experience in the administration of another data warehouse/BI environment. Excellent knowledgeable in SQL performance tuning, database tuning parameters, administration, maintenance and monitoring for Teradata. Working knowledge of incident and problem management.
