*SAS Programmer* *Kansas City, MO* *Rate: $50/hr/MAX* * - Seeking a senior SAS programmer. This resource will be part of a growing team supporting SAS. The resource will provide SAS programming and production support for multiple applications in a production and development environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years SAS programming experience. Provides support within predetermined and agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for our internal customers by trouble shooting application/environment issues with SAS and multiple other applications providing technical solutions to business user needs. Proven ability to work with the team on knowledge transfer and quickly absorb and effectively take ownership and maintain existing processes.* *Must be self starting, agile, driven toward completion of tasks, and willing to ask questions to clarify understanding. Ability to multi-task is essential. Takes personal ownership for problems-follows through to ensure that solutions meet needs. Effective in solving problems in a team environment Ability to participate in a 24x7 support rotation may be required. Supports application related projects Knowledge: The ideal candidate would have thorough knowledge and understanding of application support including: SAS software applications and its components (SAS 9.2 or later release experience preferred). Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, scripting, database technologies, strong SQL skills and SAS installations/upgrades are preferred. Knowledge of encryption, SFTP, GPG, and autosys is also a plus. Skills: Strong application support and software engineering/trouble-shooting experience with strong interpersonal/ communication skills. Must be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
