Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12+ months Rate: $60/hr 1099/c2c Client needs a Senior Network / Security Engineer that has hands-on experience in a broad range of IT Infrastructure. This includes the implementation of Local Area Networking (LAN, switches, routers, servers, voice over IP (VOIP), Network Access Control (NAC), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and Wireless LAN (WLAN). Emphasis on LAN and NAC experience; VLAN, switch configurations, posture assessment, mobile device management, endpoint security, policy assessments and remediation analysis. Duties include but are not limited to: . Technical analysis and detailed documentation of the current "as-built" environments, both the application and network. . Performing industry research to define/quantify a fully integrated solution and to assess the most appropriate technology applications to support business requirements. . Responsible for configuration, installation, test and acceptance, and implementation, which includes LAN, SAN, WAN, servers, Virtualization, VoIP, WLAN, video, and Real Time Location Services (RTLS). . Support the technical implementation and deployment of IT LAN and Technology infrastructure as designed by the architecture team of a new medical grade IT network/infrastructure solution. . Review vendor installations and test (all levels) IT infrastructure components/systems (custom and COTS) including wiring and cable management. . Provide IT infrastructure/systems support and transition knowledge to operations and maintenance support staff. . Work with the Senior Architect and other technical team members to ensure continuity of planned technologies. . Review and develop technical documents produced by the Vendor or other external sources. . Perform tasks as assigned by the DHHS Project Manager and Senior Architect. Required Skills: . Exp. with the installation of LAN infrastructure equipment including routers and switches and configuration of VPNs and VLANs. . Exp. with the installation of Network Access Control (NAC) infrastructure and its configuration, including policy enforcements, mobile device management, intrusion prevention, and identity and access management. . Exp. in installing and configuring file servers (rack and free standing) and installation and configuration of OS including VMware, vSphere, vCenter, and Windows Server. . Exp. of OSPF, BGP, HSRP, STP, ACLs, AAA (including TACACS and radius), OSI models, FoIP, Fiber Channel, commonly used protocols, QOS, load balancing and route maps . Installation experience of SNMP protocol, standards, performance and management systems. . Exp. establishing and configuring Enterprise Active Directory including firewall settings, group policies, and user/device accounts. . Configuration mgmt and virtual device certifications, including installation of clients, desktop office tools, and operating systems. . Strong communication, self-motivated, and superb interpersonal presentation skills. . Exp. with hands-on technical consultation roles, cross-functional teaming skills with peers, and working with business clients. . Must be able to travel 3-4 days per week - Morganton, NC. Construction; Greenfield environment. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required. Preferred: . CCNP or equivalent experience. . Experience working in psychiatric health care environment and familiarity with mental health networks and business processes. . Experience in installing and configuring file servers (rack and free standing) and installation and configuration of SNMP protocol, SNMP standards, and SNMP performance and management systems. .
