Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6+ months Rate: Open The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, translating them to data requirements and developing application logical and physical data models. Interacting daily with Project Manager and other functional experts, as well as end users, to comprehend requirements and ensure all aspects of the project are delivered as planned. Working with Data Base Specialist and ETL Developers to design, develop new database and analytical data cubes to support business intelligence and advance analytics. Examining the existing data warehouse, combine or merge the newly developed components into it. The ideal candidate must have experiences in building large scale relational database using Oracle tools. Responsibilities: . Identify and analyze historical data elements and existing Oracle database structure, promote best practices and patterns for data modeling. . Translate business user information requirements into data structure requirements. . Oversee new data development and ensures consistency and integration with existing data structures. . Develop logical and physical database models . Determine transition strategy from current to new architectures. . Provides technical assistance and mentoring to staff for developing conceptual and logical database designs and the physical database. Requirements: . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. . 8+ years of work experience in Oracle database design along with effective knowledge and understanding of logical and physical database design concepts. . Good analytical and investigative ability. . Design and modeling large scale database system(s) with at least 5,000 users. . Good working knowledge on transactional and reporting database design. .
