Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 4+ months Rate: Open Responsibilities . Design, build, implement, secure and maintain databases for development, test and production environments. Work with SCDE team to identify and analyze performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions. . Write and modify scripts & stored procedures (e.g.: SQL, PHP) for database access or reporting. . Ability to efficiently problem solve and analyze a variety of problems, assess risks and implement solutions while adhering to security standards. . Participate in cross-training activities to achieve a comfort level supporting SCDE data collection servers, as well as cross-train other team members on DBA responsibilities. . Work with cross-functional teams to support customer requests as appropriate. . Other database duties as assigned. . Report progress weekly to management and project manager. Experience Needed: . Backup/Recovery . Database Upgrades . MS SQL Server 2008 R2 . MS SQL Server 2012 . Performance Tuning . SQL Server Analysis Services ( SSAS) . SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) .
