Client is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst contractor to support the
ICD-10 projects. The candidate for this position will be a key support
person for the ICD-10 post-implementation.  The ideal candidate will be
responsible for planning, designing, examining, analyzing, developing,
implementing, administering, and monitoring the business and program
processes.  In this position, the candidate will evaluate the functionality
of the business and program application systems to identify gaps and measure
the solution impact to business operations. This position serves as a
liaison between the business and the project team to improve productivity,
and to develop and deliver training.  This position ensures continual
operation and periodic/ad hoc upgrades or enhancements of the applications,
to meet the business needs of the supported State agencies.  This candidate
will need to analyze operational data due to ICD-10 and other CSR changes
and recommend changes to policies and procedures, troubleshoot business
and/or system problems and recommend solutions, understand software
modifications/enhancements, assess their impact on business processes,
develop unit and system test plans, and develop process flows, training
materials. 

 

The position is also responsible for developing test scenarios/cases in
consultation with the business group, performing hands-on testing, test
results review and proactively identify issues, and provide possible
resolutions/recommendations.  The person in this role must be capable of
analyzing impact on provider reimbursement due to ICD-10 coding change and
provide recommendations.  The candidate should be team player who will
interact with various stakeholders and team members to discuss alternative
solutions by actively contributing suggestions and sharing information, as
well as, ad hoc participation in various work groups/discussions will be
required. The position should be able to run queries/reports using SQL and
SAS EG. Ability to code, expert in reading and analyzing/trouble shooting
EDI transactions 837I/P/D, 276/277, 278, NCPDP D.0 and post-adjudication
transactions and ICD-10 related issues.   

 

Skills Needed:

Hands-on experience in SILK testing tool and/or other industry standard
tools such as QTP, TestDirector.              Required                5

Hands-on experience in HIPAA EDI X12 transactions such as 837 (P, D, I),
270/271, 276/277, 278 & NCPDP               Required                5
Years

Hands-on experience with health care transactions and code sets such as
HIPAA, NCPDP, ICD-9/ICD-10 , various claim types etc          Required

Hands-on experience in SAS tools, SQL  Required             5
Years

Prior experience in MMIS, multi-payer system or State govt        Highly
desired                   

Experience in test scenarios, test cases development.   Required

Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills              Required


Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff to
convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form      Required


Ability to translate business requirements into high-level and detailed
