contract position



*Citrix Administrator – Technical*

*Duration: 12 months*

*Location: Marlborough MA*

This person will help build our Citrix stack on top of a VMware
environment.



*This person is expected to present these solutions to the business and
leadership of Client, so presentation and speaking skills are needed*.



This is a high demand team with a tall order and currently understaff.
This person will be responsible in the efforts of building Citrix stack.
It’s a fast pace environment with significant amount of providing support
to IT groups and business users frequently.  This contractor will be sought
after as the SME and therefore be requested and pulled in many different
directions.  They will be able to prioritize and flex with these demands as
well as keep a balanced schedule to work on deliverables they are
accountable for.



*Need a contractor with evidence of Citrix virtualization in enterprise
environments. VMware expertise is required and candidates with CCEA are
highly preferred.  *



*Highly Desired:*

·                     VMware experience, specifically with virtualization
of enterprise environments

·                     Citrix Virtualization Experience

·                     Citrix Edge Sight

·                     CCEA (Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator)

·                     CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) XenApp  /
XenDesktop focus

·                     Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications or
equivalent experience



*Responsibilities:*

·                     Assess environment readiness

·                     Identify the server performance metrics that
determine whether a server is a good virtualization candidate

·                     Identify options for providing Provisioning Services
bootstrap redundancy and available network optimizations for Provisioning
Services

·                     Determine how to configure an Access Gateway
implementation for an environment

·                     Optimize server performance

·                     Identify problem trends and resolve

·                     View and interrupt Edgesight reporting information



*Qualifications:*

*Required:*

·                     3 years of Network Administration and Infrastructure
experience

·                     Minimum 3-5 years’ experience Citrix XenApp 6.X /
7.X and Citrix XenDesktop 7

·                     Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with engineering and
administration of remote access gateways covering Citrix, Cisco and Juniper
product lines.

·                     Minimum 2 year experience Citrix Access
Gateway/Netscaler.

·                     knowledge of relationship of each component of the
farm including: network, storage, server, and database

·                     Experience with DNS and DHCP

·                     Thorough knowledge of remote access solutions
covering IPSec, SSL VPNs and associated data security designs

·                     Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 2003/2008,
Windows XP, Windows 7, SQL Server, Altiris, MS Office 2003/2007/2010,
Active Directory

·                     Working knowledge of application deployment process
and functional network troubleshooting

·                     Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with
shifting priorities and tight deadlines

·                     Provide escalated, highly complex technical support
to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of
significance; provides support telephonically and/or electronically.

·                     Experience developing training tools and
documentation; oversees implementation of same

·                     Strong communication skills to communicate systems
proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and
resolution for current systems

·                     Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers,
senior level personnel, subordinates, and team members

·                     Ability to work independently and as part of a global
team

·                     Provides escalated, highly complex technical support
to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of
significance; provides support telephonically and/or electronically.

·                     Applies advanced methods, theories and research
techniques in the investigation and solution of the complex system
requirements and problems. Develops training tools and documentation;
oversees implementation of same
