Send resumes to *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Role: Cassandra Database Administrator* Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration: 8 months rolling contract *Interview: Telephonic + Face-Face* *LOCALS or Nearby who can attend In-person interview* *Responsibilities:* · This is for a Subject Matter Expert Cassandra Database Administrator on a large program team developing and maintaining a group of highly complex web applications. · Install and configure Linux servers · Configure and maintain relational a Cassandra databases in a high availability, high scalable environment · Assist in the design and documentation of the database architecture · Build database utilities and automated reporting · Create shell scripts for task automation · Create, test and execute data management languages · Install and test new versions of the Cassandra systems. · Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements · Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency · Monitor systems and platforms for availability · Configure backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover solutions · Restore and recover corrupted databases · Install and test upgrades and patches · Implement security and encryption · Work both independently and in an Agile team environment · Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues *Required Skills:* · Minimum 3 years recent experience serving as a full-time Database Administrator in a high volume Linux based environment · Demonstrated experience serving as a full time database administrator configuring and maintaining Cassandra databases in a high availability, highly scalable environment · Demonstrated experience with data modeling and schema design · Demonstrated experience performing database health monitoring and troubleshooting · Demonstrated experience working on an agile development team *Desired Skills:* · Demonstrated experience serving as a full time database administrator configuring and maintaining DataStax in a high availability, highly scalable environment · Demonstrated experience of Windows 2008 system administrator · Demonstrated experience with GIT, Maven, and Jenkins · Demonstrated experience serving as a full-time Database Administrator within the sponsor's organization -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Exact Match" group.
