*Position :: Java Developer* *Duration:: 4-6 months * *Location :: NYC, NY* *Interview: Phone then Face to Face* *Job Description:* Has a broad technical knowledge of web technologies is highly skilled at front end web technologies, and has at least moderate experience with back end coding. Works under the direction of and in collaboration with a technical lead and project manager. Develops technical solutions that map to user and business requirements and deliver value for the needs of the engagement/client Has an understanding of rapid prototyping as well as change management Is able to conceptualize and explain technical solutions to internal and client personnel Is passionate about interactive technology - actively learning, exploring and staying abreast of emerging technologies Is familiar with preparing basic documentation and technical specs Works closely with team members from other departments to implement solutions and solve problems Is able to work independently *Qualifications include (but are not limited to):* 3-5 years of related experience Direct experience developing web applications using various front end technologies such as: HTML5/XHTML/HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Comfortable using modern JavaScript libraries (jQuery, yui, dojo etc.) but also not afraid of hand coding when necessary.
