2) PL/SQL development
3) Developing applications using Java or LAMP in an Oracle environment

*Duration: 4 months plus extensions*

* Tasks and Requirements*
Contractor will receive detailed system specifications from which to begin
development of Oracle database applications. Contactor may be involved in
assisting with the authoring of these specifications.
Contractor will assist in determining the best user interface with the
majority of the Oracle database applications being web based.
Contractor will investigate new database-related software to evaluate the
potential benefits to the APS.
Contractor will follow application standardization procedures.
Contract will provide user documentation and system documentation at
project completion.
Contractor will maintain existing Oracle database applications.
Contractor will provide daily status reports.
The contractor will be expected to work with the followings:
Servers: Linux servers with Red Hat, Intel-based servers running
Windows 7 or up versions servers.
Databases: Oracle 11 and up.
Data Modeling: Visual Paradigm.
Workstation Operating Systems: Windows 7 and up, MAC OS, and Red Hat Linux.
Workstation/Client Products: text editor, MS Office Word, MS Office Excel,
MS Office Access, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe PDF writer, Adobe Distiller, vi text
editor, Netscape browser, Internet Explorer browser, Firefox browser,
Chrome browser, and Visio.
Software Development: TOAD, SQL*Plus, TextPad, and SQL Developer.
Procedural or Special Coding: Linux shell scripting, PLSQL, SQR, Java, PHP,
extJS, and jQuery.
Internet Development products: Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP servers,
Spring Framework, and Zend Framework.
Purchased Packages: Macromedia Director, Adobe Photoshop, PaintShopPro,
Microsoft FrontPage, and Oracle Application Express.
*Qualifications*
Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and abilities in the following:
1.*Communication: *Speaks clearly and persuasively, listens to custom
Five or more years of experience of performing investigation and analysis
of business requirements.
Five or more years of experience of establishing requirements and
objectives of computerized solutions.
Five or more years of experience of developing Oracle database
applications with PLSQL, APEX, TOAD, SQL Developer, and/or other oracle
development tools.
Five or more years of experience of developing internet web applications
using Java, PHP, Spring framework, Zend framework, HTML, CSS, jQuery, extJS
and other JavaScript libraries.
Five or more years of experience of planning, designing, developing, and
testing complex business applications using advanced computer techniques
and languages.
