Job Description: Technical managers are responsible for managing projects, acting as the project manager as well as ensuring the project meets technical requirements. The resource allocated to this project will be responsible for the following items: • Maintain project schedule and project log • Lead project team meetings and ensure that all tasks are completed as scheduled • Understand the data solution for the project and the technology utilized to achieve project goals • Lead and participate in data analysis, providing guidance on approach • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans • Provide oversight on project documentation such as o Data analysis results o Requirements o Testing Documentation • Lead and participate in project testing • Create MS Project presentations and Visio diagrams • Work with developers to create sustainable solutions • Report out on project status via weekly status reports • Create a plan for transitioning the project to production, including operational support documentation Principal Job Requirements • Manage project resources to meet project schedule • Lead weekly project team meetings • Lead weekly stakeholder meeting where status, risks and issues are reviewed • Ensure that project is completed on time and within budget • Lead project testing efforts, providing guidance to the QA resource. • Perform data analysis on large volumes of data as applicable to the project goals • Create ad-hoc project presentations and documentation as required to communicate status to a greater audience Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years related job experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Familiar with Waterfall, Iterative and Agile project management methodologies • Familiar with standard project documentation such as Project Charter, Business Requirements, Technical Requirements, Project log, Testing Strategy / Plan, Test Cases, Project Schedule, Status Report, Cut-Over Plan and Operational Support Guide / Standard Operating Procedures • Demonstrated ability to create and understand process flows • Strong conceptual thinking • Ability to effectively communicate technical or abstract concepts • Ability to document processes and procedures • Familiarity with all types of IT project testing and ability to identify those that apply to each project • Demonstrated ability to succinctly document and communicate project items, including all pertinent information, in an easily consumable format • Demonstrated ability to analyse and report on detailed data analysis • Proven problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis • Strong attention to detail and focus on completing high quality work • Strong verbal and listening communication skills with proven experience in developing strong team and customer relationships • Excellent time management and prioritization skills • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well in a team • Ability to be decisive and take into account consequences of decisions • Motivated self-guided learner who works independently and takes initiative to understand and document current business and system processes and verify analysis with the end user community • Demonstrated positive “can-do” attitude and a drive to always continually improve on current processes and practices Technical Qualifications • Proficient in Standard MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint • Proficient in MS Project • Proficient in MS Visio • Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL • Experience with data warehousing concepts and practices • Previous experience working with relational database systems Core Competencies • Continuous Improvement - consistently looks for better ways to achieve business results; recognizes problems as opportunities for process improvement • Customer Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; works to ensure customer’s needs are understood and met • Functional/Technical Expertise - demonstrates of a high level of technical and professional skills; takes action to continue to develop areas of expertise • Integrity and Trust - adheres to ethical set of core values and treat others with fairness and respect; models behaviours that are consistent with stated beliefs/values • Process Orientated - defines and adheres to a clear set of processes to guide work efforts; uses processes to achieve consistent, high-quality results Teamwork - works together to accomplish individual and organizational objectives; collaborates and works well in a team environment *Thanks and Regards* *Vikas Gupta* *Sr. Technical Recruiter* *Srimatrix Inc.* Direct: 4692098270 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Exact Match" group.
