*Please reply to ,* * [email protected] <[email protected]>* * <[email protected]>*Immediate Interview *Position: VM WARE SYSTEM ENGINEER* *Location: WOODLAWN MD* *Duration: CONTRACT TO HIRE* *Need US CITIZEN AND GREEN CARD Only for this Position.* *MAINFRAME* *Description of Work:* · The engineer will: o Analyze Production Mainframe Tape Architecture o Provide Technical Support for Virtual Tape Systems o Provide Technical Lead Support Activities for Design and Programming Teams o Analyze Production Mainframe Tape Storage Availability o Analyze, Design and Support Production Mainframe Tape Storage Vaulting and Recovery/Disaster Recovery Infrastructures o Technical Support for Design and Configuration Mainframe Tape Storage Teams o Maintenance and Monitoring · Responsible for written and oral communications, oral presentations, and the ability to understand and articulate English in a clear and concise manner, in order to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as to interface with the internal SSA customer on a daily basis. *Basic Qualifications:* *Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities.* - B.S. in System Engineering or a related field and 14 years of systems engineering experience or Masters and 12 years of systems engineering experience. High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of systems engineering experience will satisfy education and experience requirements. - 9 years of experience working as a Storage Management Engineer. · Extensive enterprise storage, data replication, and disaster recovery planning experience. · Ability to work independently or under only general direction. · Ability to conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required ensuring system health. *Preferred Qualifications:* *Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.* · Strong system administration experience and familiarity with one or more of the following: Oracle Virtual Storage Managers (VSM), Disk Library for Mainframe (DLM), Host Software Component/Storage Management Component (HSC/SMC), Computer Associates CA-1 Tape Management System, or catalog solution software experience. · Data center migration and project management experience. · Strong requirements planning and project implementation skills and the ability to work with internal technical staff and outside contractors to deliver results. · A broad understanding in systems, networking and storage administration · Proven ability to successfully plan, develop and execute technology solutions. · Experience implementing best-practice processes and procedures. · Strong experience and ability to: (1) analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities; (2) develop and perform hardware test/debug functions; (3) refine computer software to produce the required product; and (4) identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues with mainframe virtual tape storage and its supporting IT infrastructure. *Preferred Certifications and Vendor-Specific Trainings* Candidates with these certifications will be given preferential consideration. - EMC Storage Administration. - Oracle Storage Administration. - Prior SSA experience is a plus. *Vineet Mishra* *Technical Recruiter* 1 Point System LLC Unit 103, 206 N College St, Pineville, North Carolina, 28134 *P*: *803-317-2541* *E* : [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Exact Match" group.
