Description:
Senior Application Developer:
This Senior Application Developer position is a full-time time position for
a fast-growing, highly successful financial technology company based in New
York City. This person will contribute and help lead delivery of the
company's next generation product. This is a great opportunity to work
with a strong team in the creation of a brand new product and help role it
out. We are looking for a positive, motivated and team oriented person
with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver our new industry leading SaaS product
Work within and extend our services oriented architecture develop
services and functionality
Develop and expose software components as Web Services for our
Service-Oriented Architecture
Review, analyze, and resolve any existing problems that come up with
production systems and handle programming assignments accordingly
Ensure the delivered software is high quality and high performance
Participate in the design of the product
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute the sprints
Collaborate with the Product Manager on new ideas and functionality for
the product
Collaborate with Quality Assurance on functional and performance testing
Create, and maintain proper technical documentation of systems/modules
and adhering to proper Software Development Life Cycle protocols
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in CS or a related field, or equivalent
work experience
10 years of software development and design experience focusing on web
applications
7 years development experience focusing on web application development
5 years of software development team leadership or team management,
preferably in an agile and a SaaS environment
Strong programming experience in the Microsoft stack including
technologies such as C#, .NET, MS Enterprise Library 6.0, MVC models,
Entity Framework, privilege management frameworks, Ajax, XML/XSLT, WCF,
JavaScript CSS and HTML
Strong experience working in an Agile environment
Experience working in Visual Studio, TFS, Git and similar tools
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong collaboration skills are required
Financial industry experience is a plus as is experience with market
data and feeds
Must be highly motivated and self-managed, with a focus on execution
and quality
A willingness to adapt to changing business goals and employ creative
thinking to solve problems
Must be collaborative with outstanding communications both written and
verbal
Experience delivering secure applications and managing security issues
such as Cross-site injection, SAML, SSO and redundant levels of security is
a plus
Full Stack development experience is a plus
