Name: Bakul Patel
Tip: Use F8 key to select range of cells.(No use of shfit key/mouse to
select range of cells)

If you want to DEFINE name of different cell ranges, do like this.

Example:
I want to give different names to following ranges using DEFINE function.
Range:A1:B20,  A1:X10,  A1:S30,

..so on.... ( Keep in mind that first cell is fixed in my case)

How to do :
Click cell A1 & press F8 Key ( this action will freeze cell A1)
then click on cell B20, it will select all of the cells from A1 to B20. Now use
Ctrl + f3 key to define name.

Once you finish define name click on X10, this will select A1 to X10 cells. Use
Ctrl+F3 again (same as above)

You can do it as many times as you want....

You can also use this with go to (f5 key) function to move your freeze cell
(below example);
You want to define name for following ranges,
A1:X20,  B24:Y50,   A20:H30  (in previous case A1 was fixed, here that is not
the case)

How to do:
A1:X20        Click on A1>Press F8 key>click X20>Ctrl+F3 (define name)
B24:Y50      Continue from previous>Press F5 key (go to function) type
B24>Enter>Enter> Click on Y50>Ctrl+F3 key (define name)

and so on

You can use this freeze function for many other applications, depending on your
use.

Chees,
Bakul

Hi Friends,

Name: Bakul Patel

Tip of the week;
Convert name from "bakul" to "Bakul".
If you have a big list of names & you want to make it like this then this would
be helpful.

           A                  B                           Result
1     bakul            =PROPER(A1)           Bakul

Cheers,
Bakul
