(Problem in Excel 2003 and 2007) I've got a spreadsheet I'm using to compile/manage requirements for a product. I have a 4-level hierarchy of parent/child requirements, and use styles to format (colour) and set the indent for each cell according to its level in the hierarchy. This has been working well for a couple of years.
I now want to share the spreadsheet with a colleague so we can both work on it at the same time. Sharing the spreadsheet, and saving the changes from two concurrent users generally works fine EXCEPT that while the spreadsheet is shared, if I copy/paste a block of cells, the pasted cells are pasted WITHOUT their style assignments (the text colour is correct but the indent is lost, and the cell is no longer assigned to the style of the cell that was copied). Anyone come across this before and have a solution to make it work properly? It might be possible to embed some sort of style indicator in the cell text and use a macro to reassign the style, but this is really a last resort. Thanks, Stuart. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some important links for excel users: 1.
