I have a piece of code that calls web-service (SOAP, One-Way) to log an invocation of function for statistical purposes. This is not mission critical, but it will be deployed on 1400 clients form Word and Excel. I'm looking for way to call this function in module asynchronously.
I have tried using the procedure to create new thread: --- Declare Function CreateThread Lib "kernel32" (lpThreadAttributes As Any, ByVal dwStackSize As Long, ByVal lpStartAddress As Long, lpParameter As Any, ByVal dwCreationFlags As Long, lpThreadID As Long) As Long --- but it is crashing. My target is not to stop or even influence processing of the office client app if there is a webserver congestion or network problem. any idea ?
