Good morning... I am trying to create a custom function but can't seem to get the statment to work.
I am working with four columns: Status; Estimated; Current; Completed. Status is a list box with three possible selections: Completed; In-Progress; Pending. Estimated, Current and Completed are number fields. If the status field reads Completed than the function would insert 100 in the Completed column. If the status field reads anything other than Completed, then the answer in the Completed column should be the result of (Current/Estimated)*100 (to get the percent completion of the task). StatusEstimatedCurrentCompletedCompleted5(should return 100)In-Progress5360 My code looks like: Function Sprint (Status, Estimated, Current, Completed) If Status = "Completed" Then Completed = 100 Else Completed = (Current/Estimated)*100 End If End Function I am beginning to think the issue is using a text comparison to return a number but I haven't come across any documentation that indicates this can't be done. The other issue might be the use of Completed twice even though one is a status determination vice a column name. I did try it with other column names, changing the column name from Completed to Complete, or Completed to Percent, but still couldn't get things to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Are you =EXP(E:RT) or =NOT(EXP(E:RT)) in Excel? And do you wanna be? It’s =TIME(2,DO:IT,N:OW) !
