The Senior Software Engineer has responsibility for the architecture and implementation of an embedded database server and a set of administrative web based system management tools to interface and control a wireless retail asset protection and inventory management system. He or she will apply their software product design experience to work with a cross functional team in the design, testing, production release, and support of the new network. As required, may have responsibility for instructing and checking the work of other software developers. *Requirements:* · Full life-cycle application development. · Working closely with Product Management to demonstrate design intent and concept feasibility. · Develop products in accordance with key objectives: security/functionality, ease-of-use, aesthetics, and value to our customers. · Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages. · Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis. · Software testing and quality assurance. · Support, maintain and document software functionality. · Provide Assistance in evaluation of product goals. · Clearly and frequently communicate with all functional areas. · Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation. *Education/Experience:* · BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS required. · 6+ years of software product development. *Specific Experiences:* · Software Languages and Platform Knowledge: Node.JS, Microsoft ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> web stack, JavaScript& SPA frameworks, iOS or Android development and Linux. · Database experience: PostgreSQL or SQL Server or any other major databases. · Nice to have understanding of network communication theory and protocols. · Experience with embedded software systems design and a concept is a plus. · Travel to and support prototype installations at customer sites during beta testing. · Experience working with internal marketing departments and supporting external customers Thank you -- Are you =EXP(E:RT) or =NOT(EXP(E:RT)) in Excel?
