 Sr. Web Portal



The Senior web portal developer role is responsible for the web portal
design, configuration and development. The role requires extensive
experience in the application development using Java and Liferay portal.
The role also requires analytical and conceptual thinking, integration and
problem solving skills. The role also requires leadership to direct a small
group of developers on design and development activities.



Role responsibilities

•             Support Execution and Metrics

•             Ensure all assigned work would be implemented on project
schedule.

•             Responsible for working with PM and business for
implementation of the application based on the business requirement;

•             Follow the escalation process for any problems occurred
during project implementation cycle;

•             Ensuring problems and technical issue are caught and resolved
during development and testing phase;

•             Log and update any issues and recommend improvement plans

•             Measure issue and problem response and recommend improvement
plans

•             Communicates with project team and business users as needed
for issue updates and new changes.

•             Development Project

•             Work with PM for projects activities

•             Responsible for leading the development tasks and assisting
delivery of the technical solution

•             Responsible for the detail design and integration of the web
application

•             Complete assigned project work on time with good quality

•             Execute application regression testing activities as required

•             Responsible for managing work load and good progress in daily
and weekly status meeting;

•             Responsible for reviewing and working with project team for
change integration and source control;



Required Skills

•             10+ years of overall experience within IT

•             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management
Information Systems

•             Strong web user interface design and development skills,
specifically in JSON, CSS, Javascript and HTML

•             6 + years of experience in the application design and
development using Java SE, J2EE and Design Patterns;

•             6 + years of web application integration and management;

•             2 + years of development experience in Liferay portal
technology

•             3 + years of development experience in responsive design of
Web applications

•             5 + years of development experience in CSS, HTML and
JavaScript

•             5+ years of database development experience with SQL and
Oracle database experience;

•             3+ experience on Web Portal design and development, including
Web content management;

•             Strong communication skills with team members, project
managers and business customers.

•             Strong ability to develop solutions for technical issues and
problems.

•             Strong team player and ability to lead a small group of
developers to deliver technical solutions;

•             Effectively participate in project meetings and discussion
with productive opinions
