*Location :* *Torrance CA* *Interview: Phone, F2F* *No H1B* *Job description:* Responsibilities · Codes and performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements · Codes, tests, and debugs new software or makes enhancements to existing software · Writes programs according to specifications from higher level staff or business analysts · Develops technical documentation · Resolves in a timely manner problems that arise with existing production applications to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components · Collaborates with technical staff to learn and understand software problems · Generates a variety of complex and periodic reports and/or data through database management, data administration and data extraction techniques · Provides general system users and management with system analysis and feedback · Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements · Mentors and coaches less experienced staff · Maximizes the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs Daily Tasks Performed · Assigned to units of work, varies from enhancements to team member on a large project. · Responsible for gathering requirements, functional and Detailed analysis/design, testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance), implementation, documentation, warranty. · Providing status to Project Manager/Lead, as needed. · Analysis/Design roughly 30-40%, Development (code, unit test, int test, system test, UAT, Implement, Warranty) roughly 60-70%. Musts · BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience · Advanced capability in software construction, testing, infrastructure, configuration and operating standards · Advanced corporate knowledge and understands how a change would affect multiple applications · Advanced ability to make recommendations/decisions in application and program design, standards and program enhancements · Advanced ability to utilize system traces and debugging tools for problem/issue resolution · Advanced ability to analyze and model business functions, processes and information flow within or between systems · Advanced ability to provide guidance and mentoring on programming practices and techniques to individuals and cross functional teams Business Experience · Business Analysis, System Analysis, in addition to Sr. Programming skillset for mainframe DB2/Cobol, CICS and associated tools.
