*Job Description:*

·         The SAS Platform Engineer provides operational enhancements,
maintenance and support of high performance risk analytics and reporting
platforms as a member of the application platform team. Primary focus for
this position will be the day-to-day administration, management and issue
resolution for multiple high performance SAS environments.

·         This role also ensures the SAS platforms are positioned for
compliance with IT policies, standards and agreed upon service levels.


* Primary Responsibilities:*

·         Ensures the overall health of the SAS platform.

·         Applies maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required.

·         Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management
complexity of the platform.

·         Design, implement, and maintain platform security via SAS
Metadata, SAS Platform configuration, Red Hat operating system
configuration and enterprise IT security services.

·         Perform platform root cause analysis and resolution of issues.

·         Serves as an escalation point for production and/or platform
issues.

·         Design best practices and guidelines for SAS Platform usage by
end-users and application developers.

·         Works effectively in both team member and individual contributor
roles.


* Requirements: *

·         Administration experience with multi-tiered SAS 9.4 solution
server environments.

·         Fluency in Base SAS – high comfort level writing data step, proc,
macro and Sql code.

·         Comprehensive understanding of SAS Intelligence Platform and
configuration.

·         Solid Linux experience including ability to perform standard
command line tasks and writing basic shell scripts.

·         Serve on L3 on-call support ROTA.

·         Work schedule flexibility for pre-planned tasks such as
application deployments and patching.


* Plusses: *

·         Financial Services Industry experience.

·         Experience with SAS: VA, LASR and/or HP Risk.

·         Experience managing Hadoop platform services.

·         Experience with SDLC in a SAS environment.

·         Experience using enterprise IT issue management systems.
