Job Description
Maintain Development Interface Agreement(DIA) with Customers
Create and maintain project safety plan in alignment with project management 
and engineering departments according to development process
Prepare functional safety concept, technical safety concept
Derivation of safety requirements from safety concept
Define safety strategies for random hardware failure
Define system safe states and its transition
Perform failure analysis for interfaces
Perform design safety analysis FMEA, FTA for systematic failures (system, 
hardware)
Perform quantitative FTA to derive the system failure rate to meet random 
hardware failure safety target ISO26262 processes as per the ASIL level of 
product in development
Perform tool qualification as per ISO26262
Lead functional safety meetings with customer
Prepare test case specification for functional safety validation
Interface between customer safety organization and engineering departments for 
safety related activities
Escalate and de-escalate project related issues pertaining to safety 
Compilation of safety case
Functional safety automotive, ASIL ,ISO26262
Hazard Analysis and Risk assessment
DFMEA -> System, Hardware, Software (at least any one)
FTA (qualitative, quantitative) with use of tool
FTA tool -> FTA plus, Item tool kit
Iso26262 processes as per part 3,4,5,6,8
Functional safety validation
System knowledge - ASIL B,C or D system
Experience with automotive systems development life cycle
Good to have knowledge of Vehicle dynamics

Primary Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, in a related technical discipline
More than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry with 4+ years in 
functional
safety
Experience/Knowledge of automotive product life cycle
Experience in embedded systems development
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Deep knowledge and understanding of ISO 26262 standard
Experience in applying the ISO 26262 methodologies into projects for the 
complete
automotive product life cycles

B.E/B.Tech
