*Role**: **Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer*

*Location: Philadelphia, PA*



*Technical/Functional Skills*



This is a strategic and highly critical role focusing on the opportunity to
help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of
Amazon’s utility computing web services within strategic Enterprise
accounts. The role should represent AWS in face-to-face meetings and own
the overall technical relationship between AWS and the customer. He/she
will need to demonstrate -

   - Deep technical skill in infrastructure, software architecture and
   cloud computing
   - Customer facing skills, ideally gained in presales or consultancy
   roles, allowing them to represent AWS in discussions with senior personnel
   - Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solutions to
   business, product, and technical challenges.
   - Awareness of technology trends and how they impact the way businesses
   consume IT

*Primary Skills:*

   - Experience in the design and implementation of  solutions (including
   scalable cloud-based solutions and micro services architectures)
   - Experience with automation to deploy and manage infrastructure,
   database and networking architectures for Internet-scale applications
   - Experience in Migrating applications, databases and storage systems to
   AWS from Enterprise On-premise infrastructure
   - Experience with setting up AWS networking fundamentals such as VPC,
   Subnets, security Groups, DHCP, Route 53 DNS etc.
   - Strong experience with AWS Security best practices and setting up end
   to end security model for AWS based Architecture.
   - Strong understanding of AWS Data analytics and DWH tooling and its
   environment built and provisioning involving Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift
   spectrum etc.
   - Strong Hands-on S3, EC2, RDS, EFS, Lambda and other serverless
   - Strong programming skills in Python or any other language.
   - Experience in Devops orchestration tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible

*Secondary Skills:*

   - Understanding of security concepts such Active Directory, LDAP,
   SSO/SAML, Linux / SQL Server/Oracle service accounts
   - Understanding of Agile concepts and tools such as Rally, Jira and
   Confluence
   - Good communication skills and ability to identify dependencies
   - Ability to support and influence cloud and on premise integrations /
   platforms
   - Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools

*Experience Required*: 8 - 10 Years

*Roles & Responsibilities*



   - Assist with the design and building of reliable, fault tolerant cloud
   infrastructure following industry best practices.
   - Perform hands on management of cloud infrastructure
   - Document cloud infrastructure and policies
   - Identify automation opportunities and implement using tools such as
   Ansible, Terraform, cloud formation templates, and other similar tools.
   - Work with Projects to help them adopt cloud infrastructure and
   services in order to reduce cost and deployment times.
   - Mentor and train other members of the client's IT team
   - Understand on-premise policies, solutions, and technologies and
   integrate with the cloud infrastructure where applicable.
   - Understanding cloud security best practices and work with Security
   teams to design and implement a security infrastructure
   - Serve as a technical point of contract for cloud services and help
   with communication of cloud services to projects
   - Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering
   teams and support.
   - Perform Cloud Migration of Databases using AWS Services like DMS, Data
   Pipeline etc.
   - Set up Data warehousing and Data Lake solutions on AWS using services
   like Redshift spectrum etc.
