*Role:**  SAP / SOX Compliance Analyst *

*Location:**  100% Remote, Based out of Chicago *

*Duration:**  12 months to begin *

*Description:* Our client is preparing for a large transformation project
for their financial systems which will have SOX compliance implications for
the organization. In response to this, our client is looking to onboard (3)
Lead Compliance Analysts for this effort. There are a total of 10-12 new
applications that will be added to the scope of this team's existing SOX
compliance portfolio as part of this initiative. The majority of these new
applications will be SAP cloud-based (S4) systems, so it is imperative that
these consultants have experience with SAP compliance.

*Job Responsibilities:*


• Functional & Technical designs: For new projects that have SOX impacts,
reviews the project documentations to ensure SOX Controls are being
embedded and designed appropriately.
• Data Conversions: For new projects that have SOX impacts, review, and
understand migration /conversion methodology. Review conversion
documentations, to ensure data is converted accurately & completely for SOX
Compliance
• Control documentations: Align with controls owners for all in scope SOX
systems to identify and document the IT General controls (ITGC) associated
to the applications. Document corresponding risks & remediation and present
to project teams promptly.
• Narrative & Process flow documentations: Document SOX Narratives/Process
flows for each of the ITGC controls associated to each of the applications.
Identify control owners for each of the processes.
• Evidence Gathering procedures: For each of the controls identified; work
with the owners to understand the evidence requirements, and document the
evidence gathering procedures. Walk through the procedures with Internal &
External auditors to ensure that they meet the SOX requirements.
• Self-Testing: Self-test all controls, by taking the population and
ensuring the evidence’s support the design, and effective operations of the
control. When gaps are noted; identify remediation with the owners for
fixing the issue.
•* SOX Audit board updates:* Update the Audit Board with Controls,
Narratives, Process Flows, Test procedures for all the controls.
• Training to control/process owners: Partner with project change
management team to ensure all the control & process owners are trained on
the controls, narratives, and evidence processes, that the teams are
comfortable in responding to auditor’s walkthroughs & testing after project
go live.
• Project deliverables: Review all the project deliverables necessary for
audits to ensure that they have appropriate documentations and approvals.
