Hi all, Today i got a call to say the information store was down. I managed to make my way to the site and discovered someone in there wisdom had installed a new version of Norton Anti virus on the Exchange server. During its realtime protection scans it detected a virus in the logs.........yes, it quarantined the Edb.log file. The guy then emptied the quarantied folder, so the file was gone. I moved the remaining log files into a backup area and ran Isinteg -patch against the store. It came up with no real problems and very little loss of mail. The problem i have now is the client (outlook) machines take forever and just hang mostly when doing a search against the public folders, where they have shared contacts. Also the some of the clients outlook contacts veiws will not change to catagory?? Any ideas? Do i need to run esutil against the pub.edb? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
