Both are correct if you read them correctly. I bet both books are talking about *information stores*, not *storage groups*. Only the first book says that you can have max 5 *stores* per storage group and the second book says that you can have a total of up to 20 *stores* per server (max production storage groups = 4, times max 5 stores per group, that equals 20)
