There are no bayes-based system for classifying email outside of the spam arena. There are, however, systems that classify email, such as Neo (www.emailorganizer.com).

I'd really like to use similar technology to classify other email. Not as spam/not spam, but according to the categories in Outlook. For example, I get a copy of all attack notifications from my firewall. For the most part, the emails describe either common attacks, or errors (ICMP packet too large, etc). If I had a Bayesian classifier in Outlook, I could build some intelligence into the system, which would allow me to sort the messages, and ignore the common ones. Does anyone know if something like this exists? Thanks, Erick _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=& lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
