I wouldn't be inclined to make changes at the same time, purely and simply because it makes any bug tracking more difficult. When the users start calling on Monday morning, you've got be asking yourself has this problem arisen because of the client change or the server change. It's far easier to change one, dela with any support that raises, then change the other.
