Even during incremental. I have it doing crawls instead of a full
population.

Does the CPU get bogged down during the original population or even
during
incremental ones too?

It's on the SAN. But it sits on the same drive as the log files. (I
understand that this can be an issue, we are planning to create a new
LUN
specifically for the indexing and test it out)

But the CPU usage from indexing is still a major concern.

Thanks,
Wilson

Where do your indexes reside?

Has anyone deployed indexing on exchange 2000 successfully? On our
smaller
servers (with less then 40 to 80 people) it seems to be ok. But on our
larger servers, (over 250 users) it uses up huge amounts of CPU and
increases the disk queue depth to 30+. This causes big performance
issues
for our users.

If you have done this, please let me know what you did to get it
working.

Also has indexing been improved on Exchange 2003?

Thanks in advance,

Wilson
