Actually it depends on what you have SAV set to do. In our case we have it set to "Quarantine attachment/message body, replace with text description". But if you have it set to "Delete" then he/she would never receive the email or an alert that the email came in.
This setting is under Policies: Error Sub-Policy: Unscannable File Rule. Basically, the user is not even receiving the emails. If someone sends an email to his email address with a PGP encrypted attachment he does not even receive the email. I would think that antivirus would just strip the attachment at most. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ben Winzenz Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2004 1:44 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: PGP & Exchange 2003 Do you have antivirus installed on your Exchange server that blocks encrypted file content (like password-protected zip files)? PGP-encrypted files would fall into that category. If this is not it, can you provide more details? What happens when a PGP-encrypted file is sent to this person? Does anyone know of any specific issues with Exchange handling PGP encrypted messages? I have a user who has PGP but cannot receive PGP encrypted messages ever since the Exchange server was installed. Everything else works great. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=& lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
