They only have to show the courts - not the public - the issues. Frankly,
I'd guess they are doing that simply because it keeps someone from rewriting
that code, which would weaken their case.

But, as I said, the bigger question, and the reason I'm tracking the case,
is what legal definition of copyright infringement is defined by this
ruling. Part of my background is in custom publishing for colleges, and we
dealt very heavily with copyright issues - most of our products were
collections of article reprints. Those were much more cut and dried than
this particular issue is, however.
