Well, you don't have to use /alias in the first place if you are going to
your own mailbox.

when I browse to:

http://<exchangeserver>/exchange/alias

I get prompted and authenticate but then get "page not found."

If I then strip the alias off the URL it goes right into the mailbox . . .
