We have a fairly complex hardware/software solution for replication, but you might consider Veritas Global Cluster Manager. Not cheap but my Unix guys swear by all things Veritas and we're about to test the GCM for our fileservers.
What we do for Exchange repl is a combination of MSCS, HP's XP-512 disk array with Continuous Access enabled, HP's Raid Manager and HP's XP Cluster Extension for MSCS. The XP-512 (controlled via Raid Manager) replicates data asynchronously but in real time (and with write order preserved) to a remote XP-512. The CLX software integrates with MSCS to manage ownership of the cluster disk resources, so when LocalServer has ownership of the D drive cluster resource, CLX ensures that data is being replicated from LocalXP to RemoteXP. Unless you have a very clean line you may want to reconsider the auto-switchover.
