Hi,

Firstly, sorry for yet another PST thread, but I am trying to get rid of
them and need some advice.
We have used PSTs in the past, and they have been helpful, but now it
time for them to go.

We have approx 125 users, running Outlook 2002 connecting to Exchange
2003.
The current store is about 5gb, and the server has about 70gb free.
Our retention policy is to keep deleted mailboxes for 60 days and
deleted mails for 30 days.

Part of the PST problem for us is Outlook, OL2002 (by default) asks the
users to autoarchive and this creates PST files.
Even if we alter the Office installation and disable AutoArchive, the
user can turn it back on.
We even tried removing 'Personal Folders' from the Mapi component
section of the install, but we were still able to open PST files.

Q1 How do we prevent people from using PST files ?

I know we will have about 5gb of PSTs out there, and another 2-3gb on a
couple of Mac/Eudora abominations we have.

Q2 is there any limit to the store size, will I encounter any problems
if I just let it grow and grow ?

Thanks

Matt
