I have an Win2k3 with E2k3 running, Symantec AntiVirus for Exchange, OWA
and POP. I'm having problems with users pop clients hanging while
downloading email. The problem has occurred on Outlook, Outlook Express
and MAC Mail. Each time the POP download stops while downloading the
first message and just sits there saying downloading message 1.
Eventually the client times out.

If I log into OWA and delete all the junk mail, the pop download will
complete. I'm suspicious that junk mail with hi ASCII characters in the
subject line is causing the pop engine to stop but I cant be sure. Has
anyone else come across this problem. Its 4 different MAC and Windows
Mail clients so far. Each time deleting the junk mail frees the
download. I've checked technet and run windows update but no luck.

Thanks
Jim
