I keep bringing this question up to my TAM!

I've had two different MS IIS techies swear that there is a urlscan.ini
file sanctioned by Microsof for use on OWA which will not cause problems
with messages. So far, noone has been able to produce said ini file...

BTW, there is a newer version of URLScan available than the one that
comes with iislockdown.

Subject: IIS lockdown

Just recently installed a E2K front end for OWA and am wondering if
others have used the IIS lockdown on them.

I have discovered that pages will not display with the deny of URL
sequences &, \, .., and trailing . characters in the subject line.

I am considering commenting these out as it does hinder some utility in
the OWA and was wondering how others using the Lockdown have dealt with
this issue.

Thanks
