I need to uninstall a new Exchange 2003 Server that has been installed into
a current Exchange 5.5 environment. This same box is also running ADC
Connection Agreements for 3 Exchange 5.5 servers (US, UK, and Germany). AD
and Exchange 5.5 are replicating properly using 2-Way CA's.

Reason: Our company has been purchased, and the domain name is changing. The
original Exch2003 Server installation into "domain1" now needs to be
reinstalled into "domain2" (the new company domain). We are setting trusts
between domain1 and domain2.

The good news is that the Exchange 2003 server only contains about 10 test
user accounts and no Public Folder data. However, since it's been setup and
running for several weeks with ADC Connection Agreements, I want to be sure
to uninstall the Exchange 2003/ADC services properly so I don't cause any
damage to the existing Exch 5.5 working environment.

My plan is to stop the Connection Agreements and then stop the ADC Service.
Then, run the Exchange 2003 installation again and click the Remove option
for the installed components. Since the box will be completely wiped and
reinstalled from scratch, my main concern is the existing Exchange 5.5.
Want to be sure the Exch2003 object is removed form the Exchange 5.5 Admin
program.

I have a test LAN that closely emulates our production LAN. I'm reading
through many of the MS Knowledge Base articles (esp. Q833396). Any other
help would be appreciated!

Subject: Removing Exchange from ESM and AD

All,

Can someone point me in the right direction of where I can remove a server
that was removed out of the Organization improperly? Basically the server
was removed and Exchange wasn't uninstalled on it first to remove it from
the organization. So now I'm looking to be pointed in the direction of
finding a Q article that explains how to remove that server manually. Any
suggestions?

Thank you,
