We have three exchange server: server1 server2 server3 all running W2K-SP4 / Exchange 2000 SP3+Post SP3 fixes.
When creating a mailbox on serv1 and trying to configure a profile it can not resolve the mailbox if the server name "server1" is used. When using another server name like server2 or server3 it resolved the mailbox and resets the server name to server1 (where the mailbox is hosted). However Outlook still doesn't work. You get the error message "Your Exchange server is unavailable". There are no errors or warning in the adg-abd-xcon event logs. Restarting the server didn't change anything and no warnings/errors appeared.
