How many POP services does he have in this profile? Outlook 2003 (can't say for sure about 2002) will attempt to send via the service from which message was received. Examine all the services in his profile.

He has a couple of profiles set up which connect to various servers, but one is configured to be his 'default'. When he attempts to forward a received email to someone, he frequently gets a delivery failure from the 'System Administrator'. There is nothing in the header to show the path of the bounced email. On further investigation, I found that, some of the emails he was trying to forward brought up a little (i) information display saying what server this particular email was going to be sent via. The particular server wasn't the default profile, but another SMTP server who credentials to connect to were totally different from those in the default profile ! Why would Outlook want to use some other SMTP server instead of the one configured in the default profile ? Any ideas how to force it to use one SMTP server for everything (whilst still allowing collection of email from several POP3 servers) ?
