I have a single server Exchange 2003 server that I'm trying to get
activesync working with. However, I can't seem to get it to work. The
server's internal name is exsvr.nbr.lan, and the public address is
webmail.nbr.org. I have a server cert set up for the public address.
Whenever I try to sync with the server from a PocketPC 2003 device
(iPaq) I get a server 500 error. I've set the authencation method to
Negotiate, NTLM as suggested, but with no luck.

When I take a look at the server error logs, I see the following error.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeOMA
Event Category: (1000)
Event ID: 1802
Computer: EXSVR
Description:
User [EMAIL PROTECTED] has Microsoft(R) Exchange server EXSVR, which is
not running Exchange Server 2003. That server is not accessible by
Outlook(R) Mobile Access.

I've also seen errors saying that user doesn't have wireless access
enabled (which I don't even see as an option in ADU&C, just OMA). When I
try to browse to /OMA in IE, I get the doesn't have it enabled error
(and it is enabled). This user was moved from an Exchange 2000 server.
"Outlook(R) Mobile Access is supported only on Microsoft(R) Exchange
Server 2003. Currently your mailbox is stored on an older version of
Exchange server. Please contact your system administrator for additional
assistance."

- Both OMA and activesync apps in IIS have basic auth only checked.
- I've tried domain = nbr.lan and nbr.org (internal and external)
- I've tried username = karolos, [EMAIL PROTECTED], and [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(all with both domains)
- Doesn't work either with or without SSL

I'm just about at my wits end, as I've checked everything, and it all
looks fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Erick
