I recently installed a new Exchange 2003 server in our Exchange 5.5.
Configured the ADC and the AD became populated with DLs and custom
recipients and other Exchange objects. Everything was going so well...

I've gotten some complaints, though. Senders who remain on the 5.5
server are unable to send to an existing custom recipient in Exchange
5.5. Users on Exchange 2003, however, are able to send to the same
recipient.

Both the AD Contact and the EX5.5 custom recipient have the same 2 SMTP
addresses, and appear to be identical in the displayed information.

The error message (from EX 5.5 message tracking) indicates "recipient
not found in the directory".
Sender receives an NDR which states "Maximum receipt headers exceeded
(possible mail loop)"

Any ideas? TIA.

Lynne
