We had a similar problem on a non-Exchange server. You seem to have followed the same steps that we did to troubleshoot.
Eventually we discovered that a particular service was causing the problem (Altiris Notification Server). It was not properly configured, and since we don't use it anyway we turned it off. -----Original Message----- From: April Fleming [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 21 May 2004 12:44 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: OT? DCOM failure on Exchange Windows NT 4 sp 6 Exchange 5.5 I have a dcom server failing to launch on my exchange server. It appears to be a permissions issue, the problem is I am having trouble identifying which object it is as I only have the guid. I have checked the dcomcnfg and mts console and cannot find it. Is there a way to locate the component from the guid?
