Well, this is typically a result of UDP packets being blocked. I can tell you I ran into a user with this same problem once. I suspected a bad network card, and thought about swapping it, but went home to have some beer instead since it was late in the afternoon and I really didn't like the lady. Then the next AM the card failed. It was the card....
