I have built a recovery server, following the relevant whitepapers and MS KBase articles to a T. However, I am not able to restore across the network. The built-in backup utility in Win2k3 will not recognize the recovery server as an Exchange server using the restore wizard. It fails with the message �The specified computer is not a Microsoft Exchange server or its Microsoft Exchange services are not started.� The services are started.
The recovery server shows up as an Exchange server on the backup tab of the backup utility. Strangely, it is possible to begin the restore process in the opposite direction, that is, from the recovery server to the production server. Can anyone suggest where I might begin troubleshooting this?
