We are seeing this here on occasionally too. It is from one Routing
group email server to another. Different users different times of day
and also small messages. ie no attachments. It is alsways the same email
servers involved. I am thinking the the routing connector is the bottle
neck I am thinking of creating a new one and give it lowest cost to see
if that works. Have tried rebooting with the latest patches and still
once in a while it pops up. Tracking messages shows it goes from server
to server with no hops.

It's just this one particular message - no other message was complained
about or that I found exhibited the same behavior.

Notwithstanding, since the message came from outside, I would expect it
to be held up by Antigen's SMTP scanner, not by the Realtime scanner.

Very puzzling.

Antigen is good... Anyway what if you disable Antigen jobs - will things
get better then?

Nah... Antigen. It was a very simple message, too.

Versions: W2K SP4
                E2K SP3+Sep'03 Rollup

Here is an (anonymized) excerpt from my Message Tracking Center for a
particular message a user complained about (some lines may wrap):

7/20/2004 4:21 PM SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing
7/20/2004 4:21 PM SMTP: Started Message Submission to Advanced Queue
7/20/2004 4:21 PM SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer
7/20/2004 5:18 PM SMTP: Message Delivered Locally to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
7/20/2004 5:18 PM SMTP Store Driver: Message Delivered Locally to
Store to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I've tracked several other messages received in the same minute (4:21pm)
and none of them show the same one hour delay. Can anybody point me to
some info on why it took so long for this message to be deliverd to the
user's mailbox?

Thanks,
Jim
