What's your reasoning for installing Exchange on a Domain Controller? At any rate, you have me confused. You talk about server B being a member of the domain and removing it from the domain. You say DNS is not working...
You have a serious case of BAS[1] Syndrome. I suggest the first thing you do is fix DNS. Exchange and AD rely on DNS and it sounds like yours is broke if you have trouble running dcpromo. I also can't start most of the exchange services. If I left out a piece of information or am not specific enough please let me know. Additionally if someone is willing to provide me with phone or remote access support for a fee please let me know what it is.
